Sears Auto Centers Now Accepting Wright Express Cards

SOUTH PORTLAND, MAINE (August 11, 2003) — Sears Auto Centers now accepts Wright Express cards to pay for services at its more than 850 locations nationwide.
The acceptance deal between Illinois-based Sears, Roebuck & Co. and Wright Express, the nation's leading supplier of fleet card and fleet management services, gives Wright Express fleet card customers access to one of the nation's leading providers of automotive maintenance and repair services.

“We are very pleased to have reached this agreement with Sears Auto Centers, allowing us to offer their quality automotive services to our fleet customers,” said Michael Dubyak, president of Wright Express. “It is exciting to work with a company that is such an American icon and enjoys such a great reputation in the transportation industry.”
This latest agreement continues to extend the number of accepting locations and automotive services available for purchase using the Wright Express Universal Card, a one-card solution that provides fleets an easy way to manage both fuel and service costs. The card makes obtaining services and tracking related expenses as easy as purchasing and tracking fuel – and all in one place. With its new Wright Express Service Network, Wright Express will continue to aggressively expand the service options available to fleets through its universal card.

“We are committed to bringing the same leadership qualities we have established with fuel purchases on our fleet charge cards to services, and to providing our fleets with unmatched options for maintenance and repairs,” Dubyak said.
Sears Auto Centers provide a wide range of general automotive maintenance including brake, battery and tire service as well as shock and strut service. Sears has been involved in the transportation service business for more than a century and opened its first service centers in the 1930s. Sears introduced its DieHard battery in 1967 and it has become the best selling battery of all time.
