Wright Express Donates More Than $30,000 to Maine Health Related Fundraising Events

Beach to Beacon and Tri for a Cure among benefactors

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine (July 11, 2011) – Wright Express Corporation has donated a total of more than $30,000 to support fundraising events for three Maine health related non-profits. These events include the Beach to Beacon and Tri for a Cure (Maine Cancer Foundation).

Erica Plaase, Marketing Manager at Wright Express, participated in the Tri for a Cure last year and plans to do so again this year. “It is really wonderful to work for a company,” Plaase said, “who not only supports its employees to get involved in the community, but also supports the specific events that have importance to us on a personal level.”

In March Wright Express announced a new matching program for its associates who donate time and money to charitable organizations. For Wright Express associates who donate financially, the company will match dollar for dollar, up to $100 per year, an associate’s contribution to a charitable organization. Associates who volunteer at least 25 hours per year will have their time matched at a rate of $2 per hour. In addition, the company will pay associates’ cost of participation in charitable events. Associates will be able to track the company’s matching contributions on an internal website.

“Supporting community athletic events, and our employees who participate in them, is a key part of our corporate culture and values,” said Michael Dubyak, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Wright Express. “These events not only raise money for research for various critical diseases, but also help keep the participants motivated to stay healthy, which we believe is an important part of our company philosophy.” To hear more about the program from Mr. Dubyak, click on this link http://youtu.be/6CPXhMw1qNs.

Wright Express also sponsored the Tour de Cure (American Diabetes Association) and the American Heart Association Walk. These events took place earlier in the spring.
