Industry Leader Wright Express Issues Four Millionth Card

SOUTH PORTLAND, MAINE (March 28, 2003) - Wright Express has issued its four millionth commercial charge card as it continues to solidify its position as the nation's leading provider of fleet cards and fleet management services. The steady growth in cards issued by Wright Express has been fueled by increases across all of its traditional commercial card programs, as well as increases in newer product lines such as MasterCard. Wright Express has also built its card base by continuing to push aggressively into new markets, such as regional fuel distribution through its new RoadSmith program, and heavy trucks through its new Heavy Truck Division.

"Passing the four million card mark is an important milestone for Wright Express," said Michael Dubyak, president of Wright Express. "It demonstrates our ability to continue meeting the demands of the marketplace by providing a superior product, including unmatched support and service, and providing what customers want by constantly listening to them. This milestone is also exciting because it signals the success of new programs, such RoadSmith and MasterCard. We expect our new Heavy Truck Division and our Total Fleet Management Program to continue our positive momentum."

The core of the Wright Express business has long been the company's three major lines - its proprietary Wright Express Universal Card, its private label business in conjunction with the nation's largest oil companies, and its cobrand business, where it partners with the nation's leading fleet management providers. These cards, which remain the bulk of the Wright Express business, are accepted at fueling sites and select service centers nationwide.

All Wright Express card programs feature industry-leading management capabilities and world-class service and support. Wright Express, founded in 1983, passed the one million card mark in 1996, and then soared past two million cards by 1999 and three million cards by 2001. South Portland-based Wright Express is the leading provider of fleet charge cards to the fleet maintenance and fueling industry with its cards accepted at more than 160,000 locations. Wright Express also provides information management, payment processing, and financial services to fleets through card partnerships with oil companies and fleet management companies. Through its own universal fleet card program, its partners' card programs and its MasterCard program, Wright Express has more than four million commercial cards in its markets. Wright Express LLC, a subsidiary of Cendant Corp., employs more than 640 people at its headquarters in South Portland, Maine and its subsidiary in Salt Lake City, Utah.
