Wright Express adds controls, features to Internet account management

The company has enhanced WEXOnline to give fleet managers new purchase alerts to control card use and cut costs

SOUTH PORTLAND, MAINE (April 2, 2004)Wright Express will upgrade its Internet-based account management tools to give fleet managers unprecedented control over card use.

Wright Express, the nation's leading supplier of fleet cards and fleet card services, is using enhanced technology on its online product, WEXOnline, that will allow the company to send email alerts to fleet managers when drivers make purchases outside parameters set by the company. Managers can now establish purchasing parameters based on eight criteria, including dollars per day, dollars per transaction, total gallons per transaction and fuel type.

“We are excited by these latest upgrades not only because they make a great product even better, but because they have been made possible by an adherence to several key principals that form the basic operating philosophy of Wright Express: we are committed to innovation, we listen to our customers and we deliver the products that help them do their jobs better and more efficiently,” said Michael Dubyak, president of Wright Express.
In addition to new purchase alerts, Wright Express has also improved several features giving some managers access to new or easier-to-use information and enhancing the driver page.

The new purchase alerts will be available online to the company's private label and cobrand partners as well as fleets using its Wright Express Universal Card.
The latest changes to the online product are enabled by continued upgrades to its technological infrastructure. This advanced technology allows Wright Express to collect an unprecedented amount of information at the pump and build more powerful features into its internet-based applications. Wright Express expects to announce additional upgrades and improvements later this year.
