Wright Express Donates More Than $30,000 to Organizations Helping Mainers

Good Shepherd Food Bank and Ronald McDonald House among recipients

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine (August 10, 2011) – Wright Express Corporation has made substantial donations to Maine charitable organizations including Independent Transportation Network, Youth Alternatives, Ronald McDonald House, March of Dimes and Good Shepherd Food Bank .

“We are extremely grateful for our friends at Wright Express and all that they do to help the needs of the Maine community,” said Dr. Rick Small, president and CEO of Good Shepherd Food Bank. “It’s because of partners like Wright Express that our organization not only thrives to fulfill our mission and feed the hungry here in our state but we also have the opportunity to recognize those who generously help us with our goals.”

Wright Express sponsored the organization’s 2011 JoAnn Pike Humanitarian Award Dinner. Each year the food bank honors people in the community on behalf of its founder. This year’s award recipients were Albert Lepage, Chairman, and Andy Barowsky, president and CEO, of Lepage Bakeries, bakers of Barowsky’s, Country Kitchen, and Sunbeam breads.

“One of our missions here at Wright Express is to be a good community leader and contributor. We hope by supporting organizations taking care of Mainers such as Good Shepherd Food Bank that we can help make Maine a better place to live,” said Michael Dubyak, chairman and chief executive officer of Wright Express.

As part of the year-long sponsorship for all activities at the Ronald McDonald House, several Wright Express employees cook on a monthly basis at the facility. The company sponsored the barn raising for Youth Alternatives and gave annual gifts to both Independent Transportation Network and March of Dimes.
