Wright Express Issues One-Millionth Cobrand Card

SOUTH PORTLAND, MAINE (December 19, 2002) - Wright Express has issued its one-millionth Cobrand commercial fleet card, highlighting continued growth for a company that has now issued approximately four million cards to its fleets and corporate customers across all lines of business.

Wright Express, the nation's leading provider of fleet management services, issued its first Cobrand card to GE Fleet Services in 1993 and now has 27 Cobrand partners. In the Cobrand program, each partner, typically a provider of vehicle-related services, teams with Wright Express to develop and issue a customized fleet card that features a partner logo and the Wright Express mark. Wright Express provides the data collection services, along with transaction processing and report generation and other services to each partner.

"We are proud to have reached this important milestone at Wright Express for our Cobrand line of business," said Michael Dubyak, president of Wright Express. "It is a great credit to the skill of our associates and a testament to the confidence our partners have in the ability of Wright Express to deliver superior service. We partner with the nation's largest leasing and fleet management companies to provide world-class fleet card products and services."

The milestone comes at a time when Wright Express continues to push into new markets through acquisition and product development. The company is also attempting to increase market share through technological initiatives. "This is an important time for Wright Express," Dubyak said. "I think our success, as illustrated by us reaching the one million card mark in the Cobrand business, signals that we continue on our growth track."

In addition to its Cobrand line of business, Wright Express also operates a Private Label program, a corporate MasterCard program and a Wright Express Universal Card program.

South Portland-based Wright Express is the leading provider of fleet charge cards to the fleet maintenance and fueling industry with its cards accepted at more than 160,000 locations. Wright Express also provides information management, payment processing, and financial services to fleets through card partnerships. Through its own universal fleet card program, its partners' card programs and its MasterCard program, Wright Express has 3.8 million commercial cards in its markets. Wright Express LLC, a subsidiary of Cendant Corp., employs more than 640 people at its headquarters in South Portland, Maine and its subsidiary in Salt Lake City.
