Wright Express Receives 2004 George W. Bush Award for ANG members and Employers

(South Portland, ME), September 16, 2004 –Wright Express has been awarded the 2004 George W. Bush Award by the Air Force Association (AFA) and Aerospace Education Foundation (AEF). Twelve companies are chosen annually to receive the award, which seeks to highlight outstanding civilian employers of traditional Air National Guard members. In selecting award recipients, the AFA and AEF evaluate the Guard members' contribution to the total force mission while deployed and at home station, the Guard members' leadership qualities and the civilian employer's role in facilitating and supporting the member's level of volunteerism for overall military participation.

Senior Master Sergeant Jeffrey R. Lane, 265th Combat Communications Squadron,
Maine Air National Guard and Paul MacDonald, Manager, Inside Sales attend the ceremonies at the Air and Space Conference in Washington D.C. and accepted the award on behalf of the company. Senior Master Sergeant Lane served in support of Operation Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom from February 2004 through July 2004. He has worked at Wright Express for 4 years.

Commenting on this year's winners, AFA Chairman of the Board John J. Politi said, “We can never thank the men and women who serve in our military enough. In today's global war on terrorism, they make great sacrifices to help protect and defend the freedoms we enjoy.”
